Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CEP ?

The Centre d’études Picasso (CEP) is the resources and research centre of the Musée national Picasso-Paris.

If you are looking for information to help you prepare your visit to the Musée national Picasso-Paris, go to the museum's general website.

How do I search the platform ?

the CEP platform's browser

This digital platform allows you to search all CEP resources in a cross-disciplinary manner.

It is, however, possible to restrict the search to one or more of the collections you wish to explore, using the facets located below the search bar.

You can also broaden your search to include the portal's editorial content: articles, essays, podcasts, etc., by checking the “include website content” box.

On the search results page, other filters can be used to refine the results: by status, author, date, place of creation and type of document.

It is also possible to select items with an image, with a text description, or even works currently on display in the museum's rooms at the Hôtel Salé.

How to consult a document ?

Library books, written archives and documentary files can be consulted on site.

The consultation is open to graduate and postgraduate at universities and art schools, and from 2nd cycle level upwards at the École du Louvre; researchers; writers; art and museums professionals: art critics, art dealers, auctioneers, artists and their beneficiaries.
Requests for consultation must concern identified resources, and can be made via this form or e-mail to the following address: cep@museepicassoparis.fr

The requests must be sent a week in advance.
